We humans travel around the Earth at incredible speeds. Our perspective on time and space has changed dramatically, due mainly to air travel.

A flight across the Atlantic 100 years ago was a mere dream; today we take it for granted. Air traffic also plays an important role in the distribution of goods and is a key factor in globalisation.
