myclimate carbon offset projects

Previously climate-damaging coal was used in the Indian province Uttarakhand as fuel in the brick and iron production. The carbon offset project by myclimate promotes the use of briquettes made of renewable biomass from forest and agricultural waste. In addition, restaurants, temples, schools, and hospitals are supplied with efficient, smokeless cookers (photos copyright myclimate).

The Climate Audio Trail takes the listener to a trip of nine 5-minute audio sections about dwindling ages, the glaciers as climate archives, melting ice and the effects of climate change on highly specialised plants and animals. Seven brainteasers inside the New Monte Rosa Hut describe the use of solar thermal energy, the photovoltaic system or the design of the combined heat and power plant.
