Pioneer projects

myclimate has already been developing innovative carbon offset projects since 2002, which makes it a pioneer in the field of offset projects.

The validation and verification of the myclimate pioneer projects was carried out by either a panel of experts or a UN-recognized monitoring agency. These were exclusively VER projects. This approach allowed myclimate on the one hand to support very small projects, and on the other hand to be able to be active at a time during which the UNFCCC mechanisms were still being established.
