Klimapioniere erobern Flohmarkt in AuwAlten, nicht mehr gebrauchten Gegenständen ein neues Leben geben: Auch das ist Klimaschutz. Denn in allen Produkten steckt Energie und dadurch CO2. Je länger etwas benutzt wird, umso besser also fürs Klima. Das dachten sich auch die Schüler in Auw und sammelten nicht mehr gebrauchte Gegenstände. Nachdem sie diese repariert und verziert haben, werden sie am 11. Mai im Rahmen eines Flohmarktes an der Schule Auw verkauft. Der Erlös geht an die Klimaschutzorganisation myclimate, die damit Klimaschutzaktivitäten in Schulen in Entwicklungsländern umsetzt. |

(UpEnergy), a social enterprise that distributes and sells efficient household energy products in the developing world at affordable prices by leveraging carbon finance, and the myclimate Foundation (myclimate), a leading provider of high-quality carbon offsetting products and services, have partnered to sell efficient household cookstoves to underserved, poor communities in El Salvador.
The stoves being sold decrease wood consumption by about 50% and significantly reduce indoor air pollution, a leading cause of death and disease in El Salvador. |

myclimate offsets emissions of the FONAM Conference on Carbon Markets in PeruThe Swiss non-profit foundation myclimate, one of the world’s leaders for high quality
carbon offset projects, offsets the emissions of the VI International Conference on "Carbon Markets and Carbon Offset Projects as a New Business Opportunity" organized by FONAM in Lima, Peru from August 24 to 26. The emissions are offset with a project in Peru that promotes efficient cookers.
