Prof. Muhammad Yunus
Professor Muhammad Yunus, Founder and Managing Director of Grameen Bank and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, has been instrumental in supporting income generating activities by lending small amounts without collateral to the poor. He went to Vanderbilt University as a Fulbright scholar and did his Ph.D. in Economics. In recent years, he has been promoting the concept of social business, a non-loss, non-dividend company with a social objective, calling it as the critical missing piece in capitalism.
