MyclimateLux raises EUR 50’000 for our Malawian project

paperJam, a media source in Luxemburg, in collaboration with MyClimateLux launched a 10th anniversary campaign to raise funds for a myclimate carbon offset project. The aim was to sensitize companies to climate change, to promote energy efficient practices as well as to motivate companies to offset their CO2 emissions in order to become climate neutral. This campaign did end on Wednesday 1st of August 2012 and MyclimateLux received check over EUR 50’000 from 50 companies. The money is planned to be used to support the myclimate Gold Standard project in Malawi. It will replace traditional cook stoves and tobacco drying systems with more energy efficient ones. This project will not only reduce CO2 emissions, but also help to fight against deforestation in the region.
