A dedicated team of YES partners, experts and facilitators are brought together on a lab by lab basis. In this manner myclimate ensures that the best possible team leads each YES Impact Lab. Many of the experts are YES alumni themselves.
Partner universities receive reserved places in the course (own pre-selection), realize joint projects with other universities or businesses and integrate sustainability-related topics in their curricula (programs with ECTS points, thesis, internships). YES Impact Labs kick off sustainable activities on and off campus, and set a basis for green campus assessments with myclimate consulting - important requirements for global certification and reporting schemes or memberships like Prime, UN Global Compact, International Sustainable Campus Network ISCN or national reporting duties on SDGs or carbon emissions.
In 2009, YES Impact Labs triggered the launch of a sustainability department at the host University Bratislava. The Sustainability Institute at University of Stellenbosch and the World Food Systems Center at ETH Zürich were built up and are led by YES alumni. HOSEI Tokyo, ETH Zürich and MIT Boston have realized joint projects with other universities or companies and implemented learning and teaching on sustainability in their academic programs. The Center for Environment and Development at University of Bern accredited YES Impact Labs as an elective module for the MSc "Sustainable Development" (3 ECTS points).
