myclimate has developed and supported 197 carbon protection projects in 45 countries around the world since its foundation in 2002. These do not only serve the purpose of climate protection, they are designed in an holistic and sustainable manner to cover various requirements: The local population benefits from social, economic and ecological improvements in terms of quality of life through reduced health burdens, new jobs and knowledge and technology transfers. We also carry out reforestation and afforestation initiatives that reduce the pressure put on natural forests and other refuges of biodiversity.
myclimate also realises special projects in Switzerland. We support climate protection programmes and projects according to the guidelines set by Swiss federal agencies for energy and the environment. myclimate also supports project leaders and members in purchasing and selling accredited certificates.
