The WAVE India is a rally for cars exclusively powered by electric energy. From Saturday, 3 December to Sunday, 18 December 2011, the World Advanced Vehicle Expedition (WAVE) is rolling through the heart of India from Mumbai to Hyderabad, Bangalore, Goa and back to Mumbai. The 20 stages of the race will cover over 2,600 km and is the first long distance test for electric cars in India.
myclimate supports the teams "Interlaken" and "Green Destinations" by compensation the CO2 emissions of their flights and car shipping between Switzerland and India. Both teams, Interlaken and Green Destinations, are participating in the WAVE India 2011 with a clear objective: To promote sustainable mobility and to show that electric cars are a viable alternative to conventional road transport in any part of the world.
