myclimate again on stage: ITB, Thursday, 5 March, hall 4.1

The participants of the debate entitled "Time to Act" are Thomas Kropp (Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Head of Group Policy), Jane Ashton ( TUI Travel plc, Director Group Sustainability), Uwe Brendle (Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety, Department of the Environment and Transport, Electromobility) and Stefan Baumeister, Director of myclimate Deutschland gGmbH.

Fritz Lietsch will confront the participants with questions on the responsibility of the tourism industry in times of climate change. This will give them a forum in which to present their approaches to solving the problem. The format is interactive and will be more like a "freestyle battle" than a standard panel discussion.

After the discussion, tourism providers who have made special efforts towards climate protection will be presented with myclimate awards. myclimate will be awarding these to sustainability pioneers in the tourism sector for their commitment. In recent years, TUI Cars, Hotelplan, Sunstar Hotels and Hostelling International have been among the winners.

Towards the end of the stage programme at around 4:45 p.m., there will be a world premiere: the official launch of a unique sustainable booking platform. Afterwards, myclimate is looking forward to continuing the discussion over drinks during a relaxed get-together with all participants and the audience. This will also give the opportunity for interviews with myclimate representatives and participants of the stage programme.
