After an enforced break due to the coronavirus, the successful annual myclimate Energy and Climate Laboratory, which has been held since 2007, is up and running again. At its heart sits a competition in which apprentices are able to present their projects and ideas for greater climate protection and energy efficiency. So far, more than 9,000 apprentices have been involved from 140 companies and vocational schools and 1279 projects have been planned or realised.
Bring climate protection into your classroom or your business
Participation is organised either by the vocational school or the training company in the form of a company challenge. After a kick-off workshop, myclimate experts impart their knowledge on the climate, energy and project development. Following this, the apprentices work in project teams to develop suitable measures for use in their companies.
Free for vocational schools
Entry is free to vocational schools, thanks to the support of EnergieSchweiz and the main sponsor, Griesser. For the kick-off workshop, we visit your classes over the course of three lessons.
The Energy and Climate Laboratory and the Company Challenge offer apprentices the opportunity to set up and, above all, implement projects in the field of climate protection and sustainability in a practice-oriented manner. They are accompanied by experts from Griesser and our partner myclimate. The apprentices can develop their project management skills and at the same time actively support us in the implementation of our climate vision. Griesser has had very good experiences with the Company Challenge. That is why we want to offer other apprentices the opportunity to actively participate in the area of climate protection through our commitment to the Energy and Climate Laboratory.
Project Awards Autumn 2022
The awards ceremony is planned for September 2022 at the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences (FH OST), our partner in Rapperswil. The jury will award projects that have been entered into the competition either by the apprentices’ vocational schools or via the Company Challenge.
New: Apprentices coached by students from the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences
During the subsequent project implementation phase, the apprentices taking part from vocational schools will be supported by students from the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences, who are studying Renewable Energies and Environmental Technology.
Participation as a business via the Company Challenge
The Company Challenge offers a range of opportunities that can be customised for delivery in a company-specific way. We would be happy to put together an individualised delivery package with you. Contact us without obligation!
The national Energy and Climate Laboratory Competition can only take place thanks to our partners, EnergieSchweiz (Swiss Federal Office of Energy), Griesser AG and the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences.
