act, as the name suggests, actively seeks to provide competition on the monopoly market. A few notable companies and organisations in Switzerland have already placed their trust in act and made the decision to work together. To date, the agency's biggest job is with the tradition-steeped <link www.post.ch - external-link>Schweizer Post</link>. act will work with the postal service to set target agreements for over 35 of their locations. Notable business in the hotel and catering industry such as <link www.schweizerhofstmoritz.ch/en/schweizerhof/us-representative.html - external-link>Schweizerhof in St. Moritz</link> or <link www.raiffeisen.ch/web/home_fr - external-link>Raifeissenbank Schweiz</link> are also already part of act’s customer base.

act’s energy specialist network has also developed both positively and quickly. More than 40 experts have joined the accredited group. These specialists come from renowned organisations (energy supply companies, consulting engineers) such as <link www.alpiq-intec.ch/unser-angebot/energieeffizienz-beratung/energy-efficiency-consulting.jsp - external-link>Alpiq EcoServices AG</link>, <link www.electrosuisse.ch/en.html - external-link>electrosuisse</link> and <link www.ibaarau.ch/de/index.php - external-link>IBAarau</link>, among others. A list of the act energy specialists can be found on the <link www.act-schweiz.ch/fr/praxis/Specialistes_energie.php - external-link>act homepage</link>, along with a registration form.

We would also like to report a change to the internal structure: act has had a new managing director since July 2014, Dr Marloes Caduff, Deputy Department Manager of Carbon Management Services at myclimate.

act is an organisation with broad sponsorship that supports the economy in efficient usage of resources. act provides experienced energy experts to aid businesses in identifying, planning, and implementing efficiency measures. act primarily works with businesses and institutions that fall under cantonal large-scale consumer legislation to provide valuable support in upholding these statutes.
