On Thursday 13th of June we stay home

Just a few weeks to go until the fourth national Home Office Day on Thursday, 13th June. myclimate supports this initiative since its first occurence in 2010.

The Home Office Day has set a goal to send a strong message for out of office work. For Switzerland, a wide potential of 450,000 employees who could work one day a week in home office has been calculated. The pro arguments are compelling: Productivity increases, quality of life improves and the climate benefits to a great extent. Would the potential be exhausted, annually 67'000 tonnes of CO₂ could be saved in Switzerland.

Last year showed a new record with over 65'000 companies, employees and self-employed persons following the Home Office Day call (65% more than the previous year). In 2013 the initiators hope to further increase the number of participants. Hence, they set up a number of interesting talks, events and discussions in advance. Different aspects of work in the future, such as mobility, technical possibilities but also trust aspects are highlighted. A list of events and practical advices for companies and employees can be found on the initiative's home page.
