myclimate ticket integrated into flight booking processes

Umbrella, one of the leading suppliers of software for travel agencies, and myclimate now offer a simple solution for travel agencies who would like to make a contribution to the protection of the climate. Via an application by Umbrella, travel agents can sell their customers a myclimate ticket when booking a flight. This way, flight emissions are reduced. The money flows into myclimate carbon offset projects.

For five years now, myclimate has been offering responsible airline passengers the option to offset their emissions resulting from flying by purchasing a myclimate ticket. Through the partnership with Umbrella, all travel agencies in Switzerland can now sell myclimate tickets directly to their customers.

The myclimate Umbrella ticketing application also automatically calculates the CO2 emissions for every flight. With the programs by Umbrella, the cost transfer is fully automated. One click is sufficient for printing out the myclimate ticket and charging it to the customer together with the flight ticket. Settlement of tickets from the myclimate Umbrella application is also possible with the help of software solutions, which are not by Umbrella. Is also important that the payment flows are fully automated. In this way, the travel agencies require little time and effort for the sale of a myclimate ticket.

" We are virtually predestined for a collaboration with myclimate. Our systems are installed in many travel agencies in Switzerland. We are happy about the great opportunity to do something for the world, " says Martin Bachmann of Umbrella AG. The managing director of myclimate, René Estermann, is also happy about the partnership: " We expect that now even more people than before will fly climate-neutral because purchasing a myclimate ticket is much more simple through Umbrella."

The proceeds from the myclimate tickets flow into climate protection projects where emissions are reduced by promoting renewable energies and energy efficiency. In addition, the projects demonstrably make a contribution to sustainable development, for example by creating jobs and improving local environmental conditions.

Umbrella Organisation AG was founded in 1995 and is, with a 60 percent market share, the leading supplier of mid- and back-office software in Switzerland. The internal team consists of about 15 employees in support, marketing and development. A part of the technical development was contracted out offshore. However, the key competences are maintained internally. Among Umbrella's customers are, in addition to Kuoni and TUI, many small and medium-sized businesses. Via the Umbrella applications, over one billion Swiss francs in sales are billed per year. Martin Bachmann is founder and managing partner of the Umbrella Organisation U+O AG.
