Artificial intelligence and data usage at myclimate: progress for climate protection

Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the world. When used correctly and in the right place, AI applications can assist you in achieving your climate targets and increasing operational efficiency. AI-based tools can help reduce emissions and boost climate resilience. Through optimisation, forecasting and simulation, you can evaluate your own climate strategy and select measures that will help you achieve your climate targets. However, each application of artificial intelligence is only as good as the underlying data. So it is more important than ever to identify, record, store and evaluate your own data in terms of its specific use.

AI and data management open up new scope at the point where human capacities reach their limits. At myclimate, we are also increasingly reliant on intelligent systems – not as an end in themselves, but as effective tools for a sustainable future. In 2024, for example, we focused more on harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence to further increase the effectiveness of our climate protection measures. Three of our current services illustrate how to combine the impressive power of digital intelligence, underlying data and environmental commitment:

  • myclimate «Smart PCF»: This AI system uses data from existing life cycle assessments to calculate the carbon footprints of individual products.

  • myclimate «Cause We Care»: The digital platform enables tourism service providers and event organisers to establish a practical data pool for their processes. This allows them to determine their own carbon footprint and plan targeted reduction measures.

  • myclimate EcoCloud: This sustainability software offers a platform for your data management, comprehensive options for calculating CO₂ emissions (Scopes 1, 2 and 3) and a sound basis for generating sustainability reports.

By using AI and focusing on the relevant data, we are not only boosting our efficiency, but our innovative power as well – for effective climate and environmental protection that is equal to the challenges of tomorrow.
