Donations and payment information

myclimate and myclimate Germany are charitable foundations and therefore tax-exempt in Switzerland and Germany. All climate protection contributions, donations and membership fees collected by myclimate are tax deductible in all Swiss cantons and in Germany. 

You can download the regulations for each individual canton as well as the recognition as a charity by the German tax authority and attach them to your tax return together with the confirmation of your donation or a payment receipt (copy of payment form or bank statement).

Regarding the new year, please note: Donation receipts for the donation year can only be issued for donations and climate protection contributions paid before December 24 of a given year and credited to our account before December 31. In Switzerland, you will receive your donation receipt by mail for amounts of CHF 10 or more by the end of January.

Concerning donation confirmation: Since a company's climate protection contribution is a service and the impact label is a communication service and not a donation, the amount is not taxdeductible in Switzerland.
