TUI Cars is one of Germany’s largest car hire agents and so bears a particular responsibility for the environment. Consequently, starting in summer 2013, TUI Cars customers will be driving eco-friendly rentals.
One hundred per cent of CO₂ emissions from all TUI Cars rentals will be offset. To this end, TUI Cars will be working closely with myclimate. Other TUI companies and divisions, such as Iberotel, Dorfhotel and TUIfly.com, are working successfully with myclimate on issues of climate protection. Monies obtained through compensation will be used in global climate protection projects relating to renewable energies and energy efficiency that ensure sustainable development. For example, it will support a wind energy park in Turkey and the biomass cooker project in China.
