«Impuls Mobilität» – Three Years of Mobility Consulting on Behalf of the City of Zurich

Since 2016, myclimate and two partners have taken charge of the City of Zurich’s «Impuls Mobilität» programme, which is aimed at companies and industry in the city. Core aspects of “Impuls Mobilität” are comprehensive advice on mobility and transport issues, examples of solutions successfully implemented as well as events.

«Impuls Mobilität» offers consultation on transport and mobility issues with respect to both business operations and the needs of employees within companies of all sizes as well as the planning of construction projects. The focus on the area of “living” distinguishes the programme from comparable predecessors. «Impuls Mobilität» is aimed specifically at construction investment groups, building clients and property managers, focussing on generating sustainable mobility solutions in relation to the construction of new homes or renovations.

myclimate is in charge of the programme on behalf of the City of Zurich, alongside its partners Büro für Mobilität and Rapp. The actual advisory services are provided both by internal experts as well as external specialists from Büro für Mobilität and Rapp. This year, a total of around 35 individual consultations were carried out. “Through Impuls Mobilität we offer companies and building clients advice and solutions that are proven to be sustainable and that have an impact over years”, says Ottavio Scatà, Impuls Mobilität Project Manager at myclimate.

The City of Zurich offers free basic advice through Impuls Mobilität. During this meeting the current mobility situation is analysed, possible solutions are discussed and a catalogue of ideas is developed. Based on this, there is the option to book another more detailed (fee-based) consultation that focuses on specific implementation measures. Zurich-based companies like ISS, Ringier, ZKB, Baugenossenschaft Vrenelis Garten and Allgemeine Wohnbau-Genossenschaft (ABZ) are among those to have taken advantage of the offer already in order to implement new mobility-related measures or optimise existing ones.
