Solar Energy Foundation receives prestigious award for the second time

Success and recognition can be repeated. For the second time, our partners at the Solar Energy Foundation received a prestigious award and the corresponding recognition for their hard work and innovative concept in the energy sector. Hats off!

myclimate congratulates: For the second time, the Solar Energy Foundation received the renowned National Energy Globe Award for 2013 for their outstanding efforts in Ethiopia. As in 2010, the international jury singled out the Solar Energy Foundation for their sustainable and unique efforts.

Approximately 1,000 projects from 150 countries apply for the Energy Globe Award annually. The prize was presented officially on June 5, 2013, the UN World Environment Day.

The Solar Energy Foundation has been active in Ethiopia since 2003, and has set up 22,000 solar installations or solar lamps in households, schools and communities. myclimate works closely with the Solar Energy Foundation in Ethiopia. Through our mutual efforts, the impressive showcase project "Solar Lamps for Rural Ethiopia" was born, which combines many different benefits for large parts of the local population.

myclimate has also received this prestigious award for our Climate Laboratory project.
