The myclimate Skills for Future awards event brought together apprentices from all over Switzerland to celebrate their practical climate protection projects. For the first time, the training event was held as part of SwissSkills, a special highlight. This venue gives apprentices and their commitment to climate protection even greater visibility. The award-winning projects also set inspiring standards for future-oriented, climate-competent vocational training.
Four teams in each of the categories, “In-depth Projects” and “Independent Projects”, were awarded first, second and two third places. In addition, the audience awarded the Publikumspreis [Audience Award] to its favourite team.
Third place – Nachhaltiger Kaffeekonsum [Sustainable Coffee Consumption] by Evgeni Iliev, Claudia Oliveira Costeira and Marco Dubacher from the vocational training centre Uri, and Saisonale und regionale Produktion [Seasonal and Regional Production] by Daria Graf and Fiona Lüthi from the vocational training centre IDM Thun
The award-winning projects impressively demonstrated how young professionals acquire the skills they need to make free and full use of their capabilities at work and thus play an active role in shaping the future. In addition to honouring the winners, the event provided an opportunity to network, exchange ideas and inspire all participants from vocational training and beyond.
We would like to thank our project partners for making “Skills for Future” possible in the first place. We would also like to thank all the dedicated teachers and jury members, as well as our award-winning partners FREITAG and RRREVOLVE, who made the event so special.
The work continues: myclimate Skills for Future is committed to systematically embedding climate protection in all vocational training learning environments and to preparing apprentices as well as possible for the challenges of the professional world, so that they can actively help shape the future. Every profession counts in climate protection!
