A globally active company with a sense of responsibility
Founded in 1965, INTEGRA develops and manufactures equipment and consumables for liquid handling – particularly for research, diagnostics and quality control. Around 600 employees at sites in Switzerland, the USA, Europe, Asia and Oceania generate annual turnover of approximately USD 170 million.
The decision to embed sustainability strategically is driven by a range of factors: INTEGRA wishes to make an active contribution to environmental protection, meet customer expectations and, at the same time, reduce economic risks – such as those arising from rising CO₂ costs – at an early stage.
myclimate x INTEGRA: From carbon footprinting to SBTi support
The collaboration with myclimate supports INTEGRA in implementing climate protection in a systematic and impact-oriented manner. With the help of the myclimate EcoCloud software solution, relevant company data is efficiently collected worldwide – a key component for creating valid emissions inventories in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG) and identifying hotspots.
Building on this, INTEGRA developed a clearly structured reduction plan. myclimate also supported the process of setting SBTi-compliant reduction targets and created product carbon footprints (PCFs) for consumables.
For us, the collaboration with myclimate is a crucial step towards identifying concrete potentials for reductions. We appreciate the friendly, expert support provided by myclimate on our journey towards climate neutrality.
Reduction successes and next steps
INTEGRA is consistently implementing its climate protection strategy and is already achieving measurable progress:
To achieve its reduction targets, INTEGRA also plans to use rPET and switch to biocircular materials. Reducing business flights remains a challenge at present; structural adaptations are necessary here. Furthermore, INTEGRA is reliant on progress within the supply chain, as its own potential for reductions is limited in the medium term.
