And from a corporate perspective, she enjoys living out her passion for teamwork and strategic development.

Career path
Claudia has been working as a lawyer and notary since 2004, and, after gaining experience in court and in businesses, founded her own legal practice with partners in 2010. In addition to her job and her membership of the Foundation Board at myclimate, Claudia is a committed member of a variety of associations and public authorities, in some of which she sits on the administrative or executive boards.

Motivation for climate protection
As my children have grown, so has my desire to take responsibility and advocate for the world that we will be leaving behind for them and all the generations to come.

In private
Claudia loves to spend time hiking or snowboarding in the fresh air of the Graubünden Alps with her husband and three children. However, she also enjoys immersing herself in foreign cultures, warm waters and enthralling books.

Kathrin Scherer is an experienced expert in the field of international economic cooperation. She worked for Switzerland Global Enterprise as a partner manager for ten years. Since 2019, Kathrin Scherer has been supporting the Lucerne economy as Head of Business Development at Lucerne Economic Development Agency, and has been a member of the myclimate Foundation Board since 2021.

Change management: He is proficient in leading and managing organisational changes to achieve desired outcomes. Leadership in structural change: Pascal is experienced in providing leadership during structural changes and ensuring successful outcomes. Organizational development: He has expertise in balancing centralisation and decentralisation to optimise organisational development. Service management and digitalisation: Pascal is an expert in managing services and implementing digitalisation to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. Marketing and M&A: He is proficient in marketing and M&A activities to enhance business growth. People management and coaching: Pascal is experienced in managing people effectively and providing coaching to ensure personal and organizational success.

Career path
With over 30 years of C-level experience in tourism, Pascal has a proven track record of success. His career began at the Kuoni Group, where he held several leadership positions – including Head of Corporate Development and Managing Director of Privat Safaris AG – before becoming the Head of Marketing and Subsidiaries for Kuoni Switzerland. After a decade at Kuoni, he joined the Reisebaumeister Group, later known as Travelhouse, where he served as the Head of Skytours AG and later oversaw all overseas brands. He then moved to Touring Club Switzerland, where he served as the Head of SGF Tourism and Leisure, responsible for travel agencies, campsites and hotels. His final 11 years in the industry were spent at Twerenbold Reisen Group, where he held various leadership positions, including Managing Director of Excellence River Cruises and Vögele Reisen. Pascal has been self-employed as a consultant and coach since 2022, with a focus on education and training from 2023 as the head of the Hospitality, Tourism and Events course at Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences.

Motivation for climate protection
Pascal has been passionate about environmental issues and sustainability since the 1970s, inspired by organizations such as the Club of Rome. He has been an advocate for sustainability in his various professional roles and aims to take responsibility for the sake of future generations.

In private
Pascal has a wide range of interests, including outdoor sports, music (ranging from jazz to classical) and cultural activities. He enjoys spending time with family, friends and his partner.

Florian Goppel

Florian brings experience from executive management positions and boards of directors in the USA, Belgium, France and Switzerland. He has been a member of the Executive Board of the myclimate foundation since 2021 and heads the carbon offset projects division.

Motivation for climate protection
His path to climate protection led him to J.S. Foer's excellent book "We are the Weather". Since reading it, he has set almost all his private parameters to climate protection, up to his beloved BBQ, which he really hates to do without. And: the biggest danger for the climate is the belief that someone else will solve the problem for us.

She then developed renewable energy projects in the Czech Republic for the OSTWIND Group. During her parental leave, she co-founded a family guesthouse where she implemented ideas for sustainable tourism. Since April 2023, she has been working as a project manager for climate protection projects in Vienna.

Career path
After studying geography and gaining insight into international cooperation in climate policy, Alina did her PhD in geography at UZH, where she focused on glacier retreat and future water resources. Along the way, she worked and got involved in Patagonia Zurich.

Motivation for climate protection
"I find my balance in nature - watching how we exploit it every day for our own benefit is hard - so I try to do what I can to counteract that."

In private
Alina loves to be out and about in the mountains with her dog and her VW bus - hiking, cycling, ski touring or leisurely camping.

Specialisation
Tamar’s interest in climate protection began when she was studying ecology and the very same period she started to observe changes in her local environment that were attributed to climate change. Based on her personal experience and understanding the science basis of the environment around prompted her to learn more about the causes and effects of climate change.

Career path
Before joining myclimate in 2024 Tamar studied environmental sciences and conservation biology during her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Georgia. She has also attended numerous trainings throughout the world for her study purposes. At myclimate she supports the bilateral cooperation team and is a local myclimate expert and carbon consultant for Georgia.

Motivation for climate protection
I really do feel a deep bond to the natural world and am motivated to protect it for its intrinsic value. I am convinced that taking action to combat climate change is not only necessary but also a moral imperative.

In private
Tamar enjoys spending time in nature with her family and friends. She also adores animals and is enthusiastic for exploring new countries and exotic environments.

Enrica has many years of experience in the topic of environmental protection, ranging from biodiversity loss to technology implementation with an environmentally conscious approach. Her experience also covers international relations and management of environmental risks during the construction of complex infrastructure. She has focused closely on the topic of sustainable development and sees the carbon market as a mean to achieve it.

Career path
Enrica studied environmental sciences and conservation management during her bachelor's and master's degrees in Italy. Enrica came to Switzerland to complete her doctorate, studying how biodiversity loss affects ecosystem functioning. After her PhD she worked in industry where she facilitated the sustainable construction of a large cross-boundary energy infrastructure. At myclimate she supports the compliance team in the development of international climate protection projects.

Motivation for climate protection
Climate change is the greatest threat of our generation, and Enrica wants to be able to tell her children she did all she could to offer them a greener future.

In private
Enrica loves to be outdoor with her family and re-discover the world with the help of her two children. She loves food, both cooking it and eating it. Flowers always put a smile on her face.

In private
Moritz prefers to spend his free time with his young family. Otherwise, Moritz spends a lot of time in the mountains and on Swiss waters pursuing his passion for fishing.

Franziska has many years of experience in international development cooperation with a wide range of partners. She has a sound insight into and overview of international climate policy, various climate protection measures, technologies and financing options.

Career path
Franziska studied international relations at the TU Dresden before completing a master's degree in environmental science at Lund University in Sweden. After the postgraduate programme at the German Development Institute, Franziska worked for three years at KfW Development Bank in the Resource Conservation Team Asia and joined myclimate in 2009. At myclimate, she managed the carbon offset project area for 10 years and has been building up bilateral carbon offset since 2022.

Motivation for climate protection
Franziska loves our planet and wants to preserve it. It's our responsibility to protect the climate and our generation matters.

In private
Franziska loves to be out and about in the mountains, often on skis, bikes or on foot - usually with her family or even whole groups as a leader.

Martin has many years of experience in the development of carbon offset projects at home and abroad. Together with his team, he is continuously expanding the myclimate portfolio for domestic projects, doing so with a focus on projects and programmes for both the voluntary and the mandatory carbon market.

Career path
After his studies, Martin worked for several years in medical technology, most recently as a development engineer at the hearing aid company Phonak. In 2008, Martin joined myclimate, where he spent the first few years as a project manager for international projects in South America and completed a part-time MAS qualification in environment and management. Since 2013, Martin and his team have focused on expanding the domestic carbon offset projects at myclimate.

Motivation for climate protection
With our climate protection projects, we try to counteract the major problems of climate change, biodiversity loss, energy dependency and social inequality and to highlight solutions. That motivates me a lot.

The solutions for climate protection have been on the table for decades, and Ian would like to help ensure that they are finally implemented in a fruitful manner.

Ian has founded a solidarity vegetable cooperative in the city of Zurich and runs it on a voluntary basis together with a dedicated group.
