myclimate has been promoting innovative technologies in climate protection since 2002. These projects reduce CO₂ emissions in a simple, clearly measurable way and at the same time improve local quality of life. They are developed together with local communities in Switzerland, Europe and around the world.
myclimate develops and promotes technological climate protection projects around the world with clearly measurable performance in terms of CO₂ reductions or CO₂ sinks. These are certified according to recognised standards such as the Gold Standard or the Carbon Standards International (CSI). The positive effects on the environment and society are also documented using the SDG criteria.
Technological projects from myclimate don’t just contribute to climate protection: they also bring clean water, better air, new jobs and more efficient processes into the daily lives of thousands of people around the world. In Switzerland, myclimate also bases its activities on the regulations of the CO₂ Act (FOEN/SFOE). For smaller projects, our own guidelines apply, based on international standard criteria such as those of the Gold Standard.
The portfolio includes biochar, geothermal energy, biogenic building materials, high-temperature heat pumps, efficient cooking stoves, solar-powered water disinfection, modern waste management and electromobility. All projects create renewable alternatives to carbon-intensive technologies – with tangible benefits for people and the climate.
Improved quality of life through more efficient everyday solutions
Technological climate protection solutions noticeably improve everyday processes – for example through clean drinking water, better air quality or reduced dependence on fossil resources.
New industries and jobs for local communities
Innovative technologies create new markets, strengthen local value creation and offer prospects for sustainable local employment.
Demonstrable contribution to net-zero strategies
Technology projects deliver measurable carbon reductions or extractions that can be credited to corporate targets and national climate strategies (in line with the Paris Agreement).
Robust MRV systems for maximum credibility
Transparent monitoring, reporting and verification processes guarantee that every tonne of CO₂ saved or captured is traceable and verifiable.
