We analyse emissions (Scopes 1–3), identify potential for reductions and support the organisation’s reduction strategy with expert advice and appropriate tools. Strategic emissions reduction

To ensure the immediate, verifiable offsetting of existing emissions that have not yet been avoided, we offer access to high-quality reduction projects with significant co-benefits, either outside or along the corporate value chain. This applies, for example, to the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy, but also to nature-based solutions such as climate-adapted forest management or the rewetting of peatlands.  

These projects are immediately available, scalable and make measurable contributions to global transformation. Supporting such projects serves as a credible strategic immediate measure to complement a company’s own reduction pathway, thereby strengthening its positioning. Quantifying a company’s own carbon footprint provides business incentives for reduction with tangible added value and thus prepares for future regulation.

We can help you develop a balanced portfolio of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) measures:
 

• Now:
  Focus on nature-based approaches to CO₂ removal (natural sinks) such as afforestation or biogenic building materials. Whilst these projects are not permanent (i.e. they store CO₂ for less than 1,000 years), they provide an immediate benefit to global carbon footprinting. They are also available worldwide, affordable, highly scalable and have many positive social and environmental side effects. Last but not least, they are directly linked to your company’s own value chain and can make it significantly more resilient.  
   
• In the medium and long term:
  Build up a portfolio of permanent removals using preferred solutions such as biochar or Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW). Such projects and the credits they generate are suitable for the verifiable and communicable neutralisation of residual fossil fuel emissions (like for like), for example in accordance with frameworks such as the Science Based Targets initiative.
