Fashion and Textiles

The fashion industry is responsible for more CO₂ emissions than all international flights and maritime shipping combined. For this purpose, myclimate provides you with tools to better understand and reduce the emission footprint of your products and supply chains. In addition, myclimate gives you an opportunity to make a corresponding financial contribution to certified high-quality climate protection projects.

The carbon footprint of a single piece of apparel or textile is relatively small, the number of worldwide yearly purchases however is not. Producing fashion and apparel has various impactful sources of CO2-emissions, such as cultivation, harvesting, chemical processes, dyeing, cutting, and even logistics and long supply chains. Producing one kilogram of fabric typically produces 10–100 kg of CO₂.

All together the fashion industry is responsible for a significant amount of CO₂ emissions. Together with your company, we want to change this. Our team of scientists, climate experts and project developers has great expertise in measuring, calculating and optimizing supply chains in order to reduce the environmental impact. For unavoidable emissions, companies can make a climate protection contribution to certified high-quality climate protection projects.
